Who do you want to be today?
Humans communicate with the world they live in, at times, without intention or realization. A snapshot of people, of life, of movement represents the sentiment of the individual and the attitude of the generation, the time, the cause. Fashion is wearable, ever-changing self expression. It is art. Style is the way in which you wear it. A mood, an attitude, a feeling can be expressed without a word, and without a gesture. What we wear tells our story from day to day. It is a powerful tool, but can be a crippling weakness. Wardrobe is personality and each moment we express a different facet of our being just by how we outwardly represent ourselves to the world through our clothes. Use this as an empowering force. Show your potential employer, your potential mate, your potential friend who you are with out uttering a syllable. You are whomever and whatever you want to be from day to day.. Powerful right?

4 letter word
Love is a funny thing. It's not comical, it's strange. Love isn't something you can give a solid definition to, as it holds various definitions in the hearts and minds of individuals that feel they've found it or have lost it. Love is something you can't put your finger on. It's something humans innately crave without a real knowledge of what love is until it is experienced. Love can be both wonderful and crippling.
I haven't decided whether I am a fan of love or not, but I have decided that I need it either way. A life without love has the capability of being comfortable, fun, it could be glamorous, but in the end it is without purpose. One's memory isn't kept alive by tales of their monetary successes, but instead with the love that has touched lives. The only real success in life is to love and be loved.

alligators, dinosaurs, and nano...oh my!
I have nothing to call this story other than amazing. It has become a legendary tale of bravery and ironic tragedy... enjoy.
One sunny Florida afternoon Billie(Nana) and Lou (Nano) sat and watched television in their family room. Entranced by the afternoon news, Lou barely noticed Billie's terrified expresion on her sweet face while sitting in her famous blue velvet chair... "Louis! Look outside there's an alligator!!" she finally exclaimed with a fearful yelp. Lou squinted and scowled, annoyed his attention was being taken from the television. "Louis it's an alligator! Go kill it!" Billie exclaimed as she stared in disbelief at their oversized window view of the back yard. Lou scoffed and lifted himself reluctantly from the couch that bordered the window. As he lifted himself off the couch and glanced out the window, he realized his wife was indeed right, an alligator was relaxing in their grassy backyard. He nervously walked throught the back door and toward his tool shed just feet away from the frightening beast that lay in their grass, ready to wreck havoc. From Billie's perspective, Lou was bravely slaying the creature with a large shovel. What really happened in the grassy yard will forever remain a mystery. Louis returned from his alligator slaying mission shaken and in disbelief. "Billie, that was no alligator..." what he said next defied modern science: "that was a dinosaur. That son of a bitch stood up and looked at me. He hissed, and his tail was this goddamn long." Nano went on to describe how he fearlessly slayed the dinosaur with a shovel then cut its very long dinosaur tail off to ensure an easy burial. Billie listened with the most loving, thankful, and awestruck expression on her face. My Nano, Lou was a real life hero....
Just a few days later flyers were posted throughout the neighborhood: the handicapped child next door misplaced his pet iguana and was hoping for his safe return.
Nano is still pissed the dinosaur remains killed his grass.

my world.
My grandfather aka Nano is without a doubt the patriarch of my Sicilian family. I have recently learned that this man will be leaving us soon. I am beside myself with emotion. I have prided myself in being reserved in my emotions even in the wake of extreme stress and loss. Although I am still numb at the news of Nano's illness, I know he deserves better. He deserves the consideration, the feeling, and the genuine kindness he has shown all of us throughout his long, eventful, tumultuous, and beautiful life.
He is a man that can make me laugh without saying a word.
He is a man that can get flustered and grouchy.
He is one of the most loveable and caring individuals I have ever been fortunate enough to know.
He is the center of our family and I will cherish the time we have left with him.
He is loved and always will be.
Stories about Nano are coming... trust me, they're good.

Today.
In recent months, I have fallen behind in maintaining this blog. Suprisingly, I wasn't the only one that noticed. I am flattered and humbled that people have taken the time to read the complicated maze of words that spill from my vastly complicated mind. I am the never satisfied, always searching, always critical, yet optomistic, over-analytical libra struggling for balance while striving for ideals that are ever-changing. If my inner thoughts don't intrigue and amuse you, I'm not sure what will... try a D-list comedy. Today is an interesting day because I've made the decision to take a chance and express myself via this forum in a way that isn't constricted by emotionless matters. Today, I really put it out there... enjoy it or hate it, either way you're reading it.

I'm not cocky, I'm confident.
Why do girls constantly find themselves at odds with other girls? Why are girls constantly battling and feuding over rights to a guy each claim as theirs? Insecurity eats away at the female species and is so overwhelming and crippling that it often strangles off important human attributes such as; common courtesy, class, self-respect, integrity, and self worth.
This being said, I feel that the most powerful and character strengthening quality a female can attain is confidence. With confidence comes the inner security required to shrug off competition, negativity, or anything else harmful to your psychological well-being. Knowing exaclty who you are and being comfortable and happy with that person enables you to live your life without feeling a need to prove yourself to others through passive aggressive behavior or attention seeking actions. Piece of mind feels invisable but often times beams out of indivuals, causing you to exude confidence and strength. When you embody such qualities, you are less likely to be targeted for perceived weaknesses.

Hi Hatersss
Recently, I have encountered the most cowardly and pathetic attempts to shoot down my ego. My blog, first of all, is entitled "Arrogance is Bliss." This is no accident. I am arrogant. I am happy. I believe each of those statements have a direct correlation to the other. I am arrogant because I am happy with my life and my positive attitude. I am happy because I am arrogant and think highly of myself and hold everyone in my life to high standards. This being said, hateful, depressed, obsessive individuals that spend their day hating the happiness and self appreciation my friends and I posses fuel my positivity and help me to enjoy my life that much more. When I witness people putting forth extreme efforts into hating my lifestyle and my attitude, I smirk. This boasts my pre-existing arrogance. A life some view as me being out of touch with reality makes me feel more blessed. What hateful people see as "too good to be true" IS my reality. This is my real life, regardless of how jealous that makes someone. I could spend my day combating fake facebook profiles or posting people on thedirty.com, but instead I chose to be happy with my life, feel pity for people that waste their day being malicious, and continue being myself... just to infuriate the jealous while staying true to my arrogance and bliss.
